I loved the Infinite campaign as well, the best one since reach in my opinion. in the end, we are all halo fans and I'm super glad to be a part of the community. I hope you get the point I'm trying to make.Īnyway, hopefully, you agree with me on some points. I don't think any multiplayer weapons were like these. I don't even think I've gotten a kill with that thing yet, the ravager is kinda eh but the burn takes too long so I just end up dying anyway. the pulse carbine is impossible to hit proper shots with, the hydra honestly. while this is happening in infinite, I'm dropping triple kills in reach and halo 3 because the TTK balances with the flow of gameplay.Īnother aspect of the gameplay is that most of the guns in multiplayer feel useless. it takes too long to kill someone when 2 people are attacking you so you have a low chance, if at all to, trade a kill. The TTK becomes a problem in infinite because I could be landing every shot, but since the movement of gameplay is so quick someone is already shooting me from behind. I wouldn't mind the TTK if it wasn't for the flow of a match, which is, while the time to kill is slow like in halo 3, the overall function and flow of a match in infinite is fast, energetic, and chaotic like in halo 4 and reach. The TTK in infinite is slower than those of previous games, or at least it feels like it. When it comes to Infinite I love the multiplayer but it just feels like a luck game rather than skill. halo 3 is simple, reach is a lot more complicated with insane customization, and halo 4 is quicker and faster-paced combat. I say this because when you think of it, halo 3, reach, and 4 (the games that are most played in MCC) all have different playstyles. the gameplay in halo MCC is much more diverse and fresh than infinite, even for being a collection of older games. This is where I think I will get the most controversial but again this is how I feel :). it's not only unrewarding to me but also an inconvenience to constantly buy the things I want. I think a lot of people agree with me on this when I say I would rather pay 60 dollars for a polished and finished game than have a f2p game that has a primary unique factor locked behind a paywall. and I don't think it a great idea to have different armor as bases and then lock the coolest pieces of the armor in the shop. as opposed to in Infinite where the Hazop set was literally in the shop for 20 dollars when it's free in reach. we also could unlock pieces by playing we felt that we achieved the armor we got in the MCC. because we could make our spartan look however we wanted and they were ultimately us. For me, customization has been a huge motivating factor and what made halo 3, reach, and 4 feel so personal. This brings me to my next point which is customization. in Halo MCC, this system not only seems much more refined and incentive but it also gives you almost a Halo Reach-like system of progression where you can buy a handful of items in the battle pass once you level and unlock points. I once dropped a 30 bomb in slayer and didn't even move up a tier from 4. I think it's clear that the majority of the halo player base doesn't like the rewards system. Starting with the rewards and progression system. I know that infinite just came out only recently so my opinions might change as the game itself does too but right now this is how I feel and maybe some of you guys do too. I recently beat the LASO for halo CE and beat Infinite on Heroic for the first time just for some insight so I played both multiplayer recently as well. in my opinion, like a halo veteran who has been playing since halo 2, Halo Master Chief Collection's multiplayer is far better than Halo Infinite.
